RETURN POLICY FOR TRADE ACCOUNTS

Returns authorization is not required. Books must be bought directly from Scholastic. Returns of out of print titles will be accepted up to 180 days after the out of print date.  Returns will be credited at the scanned price of the book, utilizing the last invoice discount on the book from the returning location. If no scanned price is available, the current price utilizing the discount above will be credited. In the event Scholastic changes the price for a book after the purchase of the book but prior to the return of that book, the return will continue to be credited at the scanned price of the title. Full book returns must be in saleable condition and customer generated stickers must be removed prior to returning to Scholastic. All returns delivered to Scholastic must be either whole book returns or stripped covers (for paperbacks designated as strippable). All other return requests will be denied and associated fees applied  Each carton should include a copy of the packing list indicating account number, name, and address, the claim number (if any), and number of cartons; list each title with quantity returned, ISBN, and cover price. The customer must prepay transportation charges on all returns. Scholastic will NOT accept estimated or anticipated returns deductions from remittances, prior to the issuance of a Scholastic credit memo. In the event an account deducts estimated returns, Scholastic reserves the right to impose fees at 5% of the return amount deducted, to cover financial and administrative costs. Returns of product not eligible for credit, or not published by Scholastic, or with customer generated stickers, may be destroyed or returned at the customer's expense at Scholastic's sole discretion. No credit will be issued for such product and under no circumstance does Scholastic accept responsibility for return or storage of this product.
